Date Details and Zmanim
The details pane brings the information for one selected date together in one place.
Open it with the panel control at the right side of the toolbar. It shows the civil and Hebrew dates, location, personal events, holidays, the weekly Torah portion, and the day’s zmanim. The pane scrolls when the list is longer than the window.
Candle-lighting times appear in orange. On Shabbat and Yom Tov, Tzeit Hakochavim — the halachic end of the day — appears together with Tzeit Shabbat or Tzeit Chag, the end of Shabbat or the festival, which is always a little later. On Erev Pesach, the last times to eat and destroy chametz appear after the regular zmanim with visual separation. A minor fast’s beginning and ending times receive similar treatment when both apply on the selected day.
Choosing a zmanim shita
In Location Settings, choose the overall method followed for that location. The app currently provides eleven built-in profiles, including regional GRA and Magen Avraham choices, Chabad, and several named-authority methods. You may also choose a custom profile or Show All to compare the available opinions side by side.
Each saved location can retain its own preferred method. The Zmanim section of this Help Book explains what the methods mean and why their times differ.
