Custom Zmanim Profiles
A custom profile lets you assemble one practical schedule from the supported opinions for individual zmanim.
Creating a profile
In Location Settings: on the Mac, choose Custom Shita… from the Zmanim Shita picker; on the iPhone or iPad, tap New Custom Shita… below it. A new profile can start from any built-in or custom method — its choices are copied as a starting point, without linking to it. Give the profile a name and select an opinion for each zman that has more than one available calculation, or leave it at None to show every opinion for that zman.
Hanetz hachama and Shkiat hachama are omitted because each has only one value in the app. The zmanim are listed in a readable daily sequence; Tchilat Taanit appears beside Sof Taanit because the two are easier to understand together.
Using and editing profiles
Saved profiles appear in the Zmanim Shita picker alongside the built-in methods. To revise or delete one: on the Mac, use the picker’s Edit… command; on the iPhone or iPad, select it and tap Edit below the picker.
Custom profiles are kept on each device separately: a profile made on the Mac does not appear on the iPhone, or the reverse.
Chabad-specific entries
Mincha Gedolah (Preferred) and Chatzot Halaylah appear only when the selected profile uses a Chabad opinion for at least one other zman. They remain hidden for profiles unrelated to Chabad.
A custom profile is a convenience, not a new halachic authority. Choose its component opinions according to the guidance and practice you follow.
