Julian and Gregorian Calendar Transitions

Historical and genealogical records often use the civil calendar that was actually in force in their region.

In Settings, choose the transition convention Kaluach should use when displaying historical civil dates:

Before the selected transition, Kaluach displays the historically appropriate Julian civil date wherever civil dates appear in the app.

This is a display convention. It does not change zmanim, Hebrew-calendar navigation, or the way events are calculated or stored. After locating a historical day, create its event normally; the event retains its Hebrew date.
