Exporting and Printing a Year
Kaluach Mac can produce a whole year of zmanim for the current location — as a spreadsheet file, or as a printed table of Shabbatot and holidays.
Choosing the year and the method
Both commands are in the File menu and open the same small window. Choose a Hebrew or civil year and its number; it starts at the year shown in the calendar. Choose the zmanim method: it starts at the location’s own method and can be changed for this export or printout only. If the location is set to Show All, a single method must be chosen first.
Export Year
File → Export Year… saves a CSV file that opens in Numbers or Excel, with one row for every day of the year: the civil date, weekday, Hebrew date, Jewish and civil holidays, the parsha and special Shabbatot, and one column for every zman of the chosen method. Columns that apply only on certain days — candle lighting, Tzeit Shabbat or Tzeit Chag, a fast’s beginning and end, the Erev Pesach chametz times — are filled on those days and empty on others. Times are always in 24-hour form, which spreadsheets handle best; names and headings follow the app’s language.
Print Year
File → Print Year… (⌘P) prints, in landscape, every Shabbat and every day with a holiday or observance — including Chol HaMoed, Chanukah, Rosh Chodesh, and fasts — with its times. The Begins and Ends columns hold candle lighting and the end of Shabbat or Yom Tov; a fast’s beginning and end; and on Erev Pesach, the last times to eat and to burn chametz. The remaining columns are the day’s regular zmanim. Times follow the app’s 12- or 24-hour setting, and the table runs right to left when the app is in Hebrew.
The print window can also save the table as a PDF.
