Calendar Display and Navigation

Kaluach can organize the calendar by either the civil month or the Hebrew month while keeping the same dates, holidays, events, and selection behavior.

Civil Month

Civil Month organizes the grid by the Gregorian month. It always runs left to right, from Sunday through Saturday, regardless of the interface language.

Hebrew Month

Hebrew Month organizes the grid by the Hebrew month and mirrors it from right to left, with Sunday on the right and Saturday on the left. This direction also remains independent of the interface language.

Moving through the calendar

Use Today to return to the current date. The single arrows move by the kind of month currently displayed—Hebrew or civil. The double arrows likewise move by the kind of year currently displayed—a Hebrew year in Hebrew Month, a civil year in Civil Month; holding one accelerates movement through the years.

Go to Year

The calendar-badge button beside Today opens a direct year chooser. Enter a Hebrew year to go to 1 Tishrei or a civil year to go to 1 January.

Language and status bar

The EN / עב control changes the interface and date language without changing the inherent direction of either month display. View → Show Status Bar controls the bar showing the selected date and today in both calendars.
