Troubleshooting

These notes describe the current prerelease and will be revised as the app settles.

Use My Location does not respond

Open the iPhone’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, and allow location access for iKaluach. Or search for a city instead.

Place suggestions do not appear

Suggestions need an internet connection.

A location is classified incorrectly

Use the Israel / Diaspora control in Location Settings to override it for that location.

A time is consistently one hour wrong

Check the location first. If its daylight-saving rule is still wrong, change that location’s Daylight Saving setting from Automatic.

Alarms or reminders don’t arrive

Check the iPhone’s Settings → Notifications → iKaluach, and any Focus that may be silencing it. Remember that nothing is sent on Shabbat or Yom Tov, and that alarms run out if iKaluach isn’t opened for a couple of weeks.
