Calendar Display and Navigation

iKaluach can organize the calendar by either the civil month or the Hebrew month while keeping the same dates, holidays, events, and selection.

Civil Month

Civil Month organizes the grid by the Gregorian month. It always runs left to right, from Sunday through Shabbat, whatever the app’s language. The civil day number is large, with the Hebrew date beneath it.

Hebrew Month

Hebrew Month organizes the grid by the Hebrew month and runs right to left, with Sunday on the right and Shabbat on the left — again whatever the app’s language. The Hebrew date is large, with the civil date beneath it.

Moving through the calendar

Swipe left or right across the grid, or use the single arrows, to move one month. The double arrows move one year: a Hebrew year in Hebrew Month, a civil year in Civil Month. Touch and hold a double arrow to keep moving; the longer you hold it, the faster it goes.

After moving, today is selected if it’s in the month shown; otherwise the month’s first day is. Today returns to the current date.

Language

Choose English or Hebrew in Settings. Hebrew sets the whole app right to left, except the top row of buttons, which stays in place so the buttons don’t move.
